Israel! We’re not only living in Biblical Times, we’re witnessing Bible Prophecy and God’s promises coming true. If you’re in the U.S. and only watch your local TV stations or mainstream news channels, you’ve probably not heard the truth of what’s going on in Israel. Moreover, your church may not be informing you either. You also must understand that End Times Bible Prophecies are coming true right now.
Today we’re going to look at God’s Promise to Abram — later renamed Abraham — and what it means for us today. We’ll also look at Paul’s letter to the Romans where he addresses Israel. Below, are several videos that will help you dig deeper into the current events in Israel and the Middle East. We’ll also cover why the Christian Church should support and pray for Israel and what prophetic events are coming next.
First, let’s recap what we’ve covered in our End Times Bible Prophecy series thus far. You can watch the video recaps here.

Genesis 12: The Creation of the Nation of Israel
After the Tower of Babel, God scattered the people all over the world and confused their languages. Consequently, He had a dilemma. He definitely couldn’t trust Nimrod to be the leader of a righteous nation. No one else fitted the bill. God had to start a whole new nation. His leader was a man named Abram. We find God calling Abram in Genesis chapter 12.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. 3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. 5 He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth—his livestock and all the people he had taken into his household at Haran—and headed for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan, 6 Abram traveled through the land as far as Shechem. There he set up camp beside the oak of Moreh. At that time, the area was inhabited by Canaanites.
7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants (seed).” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him. 8 After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord. 9 Then Abram continued traveling south by stages toward the Negev.

Blessings and Curses
Verses 2 and 3 are still true today! Furthermore, verse 3 has no time limit! That’s a promise God keeps today — He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who treat Israel with contempt. The dictionary defines “contempt” as “the feeling that a person or a thing is beneath consideration, worthless, or deserving scorn.”
Gee, that sounds like how the Muslim extremists Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iatollah of Iran treat Israel. They would love to see all Jews thrown into the ocean and wiped off the face of the earth. A synonym of “contempt” is disrespect. When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the U.N., several representatives from member nations walked out as soon as he came up to the podium. Watch the video…
When I saw that, my first thought was — they’re so screwed. Likewise, every time I hear Biden or Harris say or do something that goes against Israel, I think the same thing, “We’re so screwed!” Don’t think God isn’t judging America! It may or may not be obvious to you. Sometimes, He’ll simply remove His hand of protection. Haven’t you noticed how natural disasters are getting worse and worse?
Consider everything that’s gone on since Oct. 7, 2023. The current administration, on the one hand, says they support Israel and that “Israel has the right to defend itself”. On the other hand, they withhold needed weapons. That’s backstabbing a friend and supposed ally — aka “treating with contempt.” The latest country is France, whose President just stopped all shipments of weapons to Israel.
French Jews are moving to Israel and they’ve been invaded by Muslims. Enough said.
Israel’s True Borders

God made a Covenant with Abraham:
18 So the Lord made a covenant with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River— 19 the land now occupied by the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
Genesis 15:18-20 NLT
You can read the beginning of the history of the Hebrew people in the Book of Genesis. Years later, the Hebrews are enslaved by a wicked and evil Pharaoh in Egypt and cry out to God. Hence, we have the story of the great Exodus, and the account of Moses leading them in Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
The History of the Hebrews in the Promised Land
It was Joshua who led the Hebrews into the Promised Land. That story is in the Book of Joshua.
After the death of Moses the Lord’s servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said, 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. 3 I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you— 4 from the Negev wilderness in the south to the Lebanon mountains in the north, from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west, including all the land of the Hittites.’ 5 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.
6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:1-9 NLT
God made this promise to Joshua that still stands today. You can read the Old Testament Historical accounts of Judges, Saul and David. God made a special promise to David…
9 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth! 10 And I will provide a homeland for my people Israel, planting them in a secure place where they will never be disturbed. Evil nations won’t oppress them as they’ve done in the past, 11 starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies.
“‘Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you—a dynasty of kings! 12 For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong. 13 He is the one who will build a house—a temple—for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.
2 Samuel 7:9-14 NLT
“Secure His royal throne forever” — who was God referring to? Not Solomon? He died — as did all the other earthly kings of Israel. No, He’s talking about Jesus — the Messiah.
Israel Rejects the Messiah
Jesus grieved over Jerusalem…
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 38 And now, look, your house is abandoned and desolate. 39 For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
Matthew 23:37-39 NLT
Paul did also…
Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. 4 For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
Romans 10:1-4 NLT

Paul continues to explain that we Gentiles are grafted into the olive tree which is Israel. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have His DNA in our souls — the Holy Spirit. Thus, we have Abrahams DNA also. What’s going on in Israel breaks God’s heart and it should break ours, too.
Psalm 121
A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.
1 I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth!3 He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.5 The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon at night.7 The Lord keeps you from all harm
Psalm 121 NLT
and watches over your life.
8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever.

October 7, 2023
On the morning of what would have been my mom’s 100th birthday, I awoke to horrific news from Israel. Amir Tsarfati and the Behold Israel team put this video together so we would not forget. Warning — it is very disturbing, but to fully comprehend what they went through, we must watch it.
There’s no denying that this was the work of Satan’s evil, demonic spirit. We must understand that. This proves that an increase in evil is a sign of the Last Days. We in the “West” — especially the U.S. — cannot fathom what it’s like to live with a bomb shelter in your home, with sirens going off at all hours of the day and night, and knowing that there are evil, demonic people who want to see you dead.
Oh, but Iran considers Israel the “Little Satan” and America the “Big Satan”. They are known to say, “First we go for the Saturday people, the for the Sunday people.” Click here to learn more about Islam.
Israel in the End Times
Israel isn’t going anywhere — no matter what her enemies want. Currently, Israel decimated the Hamas terrorist group and is eliminating the leadership and communications systems of another terror group, Hezbollah. They also attacked the Houthis in Yemen who are terrorizing ships in the area no matter where the ships are from.
Once Israel takes care of these proxies of Iran, the “head of the snake”, they will be in relative peace. This brings us to Ezekiel 38 and 39. As he writes…
8 A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel.
Ezekiel 38:8 NLT
Could this be the “war” referred to here? Maybe. Already, Iran is partnering with Russia and Turkey is joining the team. Nevertheless, Israel still has to deal with the “West Bank” or Judea and Samaria. Watch the video below from the Israel Guys.
