Help with the Challenge of Spreading the Good News of Jesus

What is the Gospel? What is the Good News of Jesus?

We, as born-again Christians, are called to go into the world spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Salvation of Jesus Christ. Whether it’s in our neighborhoods, workplaces or a foreign land, that’s what Jesus told us to do. That’s known as the Great Commission…

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations (peoples), baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20 NLT

Jesus also told us in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark

“And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Spreading the Good News to Unreached People Groups

Having grown up in America where you can easily walk into a store and buy a Bible or download a free Bible app on your phone or tablet, it’s hard to imagine that there are people in this world who have never heard the Good News of the Salvation of Jesus Christ. But there are.

According to the Joshua Project, there are 7,387 unreached people groups around the world that have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s 42% of the 8 billion people there are on this planet.

The nonprofit ministries featured below, took on the challenge of spreading the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ’s salvation to “unreached people groups” throughout the world. Here are the links to their websites. Some are Bible Translators whose mission is to translate the Bible or just the New Testament into languages and dialects most of us have never heard of. A lot of people learn better when reading or listening in their native, heart language. Some use audio and video to spread the news, and one trains leaders in the countries to tell Bible stories — which is how the first century church grew in the first place.

Join me in supporting these worthy organizations and help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the whole world! If you can’t support them monetarily, please follow them on social media, subscribe to their blogs and help spread their incredible stories. Also, pray for them.

Spreading the Good News Comes with a Price…

Just as Jesus told us to spread the Gospel, He also warned us that because we’re doing it, we’d be persecuted. There are many organizations who help those churches, pastors and our Christian brothers and sisters who are beaten, imprisoned, shut off from society and families, as well as the families of those who’ve been killed for spreading the Good News and pastors who’ve had their churches burned or destroyed.

I mention some of the persecution that goes on each Saturday in my World Watch weekly updates. Here are some of them…
