Psalm 93, like Psalms 95-100, is considered one of the “Royal Psalms,” or “Coronation Psalms.” They honor the coming Jewish Messiah and we know Him as King Jesus! It’s short and sweet and it was a psalm sung every Friday, before the Sabbath, at the 2nd Temple built by Zerubbabel and Nehemiah. Let’s dig in and bookmark this so you can pray the Psalm every Friday…
Psalm 93
1 The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty.
Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
The world stands firm
and cannot be shaken.2 Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial.
Psalm 93 NLT
You yourself are from the everlasting past.
3 The floods have risen up, O Lord.
The floods have roared like thunder;
the floods have lifted their pounding waves.
4 But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the Lord above is mightier than these!
5 Your royal laws cannot be changed.
Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever.
Let’s Upack This Through Pictures of King Jesus…

King Jesus Rules!
Undoubtedly, Jesus rules! Obviously, that’s one thing we all need to remember as these last days get worse and worse. He…
- Controls the course of world events.
- Is mightier than the roaring sea, the worst storm, and the biggest flood.
- Removes kings (leaders) and sets up other kings.
- Is in control though the world seems out of control.
- Is Eternal. He said, “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” (Revelation 1)
- Will judge EVERYONE — living or dead in the Final Judgment. However, the Born-Again Believers get the Beme Seat Rewards!
His Royal Laws Cannot be Changed!
Naturally, that’s the problem with humans. We change what we don’t like. “Rules were made to be broken!” Definitely, whoever coined that phrase was influenced by Satan!
Paul wrote…
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Romans 3:23 NLT
22 Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
1 Corinthians 15:22 NLT
King Jesus Said…
17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew 5:17-19 NLT
Surrender to King Jesus!
Born-again believers know that this world is not our home! Our home is with Jesus in Heaven for Eternity!
If you’re not sure if you’re saved or not, if you truly want to be born again and have the assurance of salvation, receive the Holy Spirit, feel His Shalom — a peace that surpasses all understanding, and get a 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven after you die, or that you won’t be left behind at the Rapture, which can happen at any moment, this is what you have to do…
Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.
- Believe — have Faith — that Jesus is the Christ and He died taking your sins away forever and that He rose from the dead 3 days later.
- Repent of your sins — stop sinning! Do a complete 180-degree turn in your life and surrender your life to Him. When you ask Jesus to forgive you He will. ALL your sins will be wiped clean — past, present, and future! And All means ALL!
- Be Baptized by water baptism — show the world and yourself that you have died to your old life and are born again in Christ.
- Receive the gift of Holy Spirit in your heart.
