The Israelites are about to enter the Promised Land. Joshua, Caleb, and some others who were youngsters when Moses led them out of Egypt, probably remembered the parting of the Red Sea. Here, they were facing the Jordan River. It wasn’t as big as the Red Sea, but at this time of year, it was overflowing its banks, which means the current was strong. The Jordan also had a u-shaped bottom, not a gradual v-shape, as most rivers do. As soon as one steps in it, it’s deep. They needed a miracle. Thankfully, God is a God of Miracles.
Also, at the Red Sea, they did not yet have the Ark of the Covenant. Clearly, this makes this crossing different. Still, they needed to trust God. That’s what it’s all about. Let’s dig in….
It’s time to GET RIGHT WITH GOD!
Jesus didn’t suffer torture and die so we could have religion! He died so He could have a Relationship with YOU!

Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.
Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly…
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
