3.13: The Great Commandment: Love God and Love Your Neighbor

Today, the coronavirus pandemic crisis has taken over the news and social media. This morning on Twitter, #LoveThyNeighbor was trending. That’s part of the “Great Commandment” that Jesus gave us.

In Matthew 22:36, Jesus was asked, “Which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus responded, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

How did Jesus get 2 commandments out of the original 10?

Read Exodus 20:1-21

Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
