28.5: 1 Samuel 23 & Psalms: God is Our Shield, Saving Those Whose Hearts are True & Right

Today we break up the next chapter of 1 Samuel with 3 psalms. David hears of a city that’s in trouble. Then, he asks God if he should go help them and God says yes. However, paranoid King Saul, learns that David is there and sets off after him. It was Saul’s duty to protect the city. But, he was way to busy chasing David to do what he was supposed to do. So, we’ll read the story and David’s psalms as they fit into the story line. Let’s dig in…
