To whom are you accountable? If you own a business, you are accountable to your customers to provide the product or service that they paid for in a reasonable amount of time. And if you have employees, you are responsible for paying them the wages agreed upon when hired. They are accountable to you to do the work you told them to do.
If you are married, you are accountable to your spouse. At least you should be. We are all accountable to the IRS if we earn income to report it and pay what is due. A little kid is accountable to his parents. I’m sure you remember a time when you were caught doing something wrong. Did you blame it on someone else? Since I was an only child, I blamed it on the dog.
There are many more examples of accountability. However, the most important one is to whom are you accountable for your sins. If you lied to your spouse and they found out, you’re accountable to apologize and make up for it. You are also accountable to God….
If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then…
Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.
Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly…
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
“And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.” ~Matthew 24:14 NLT
