2.15: A Light in the Darkness: A Benefit of the Salvation of Jesus

I remember in November of 1965, when I was 10 years old the great blackout of the Northeast. It affected not just New York, where we lived, but several other northeastern states as well as Ontario, Canada. Living through 13 hours of darkness, one gets to appreciate the light of a simple flashlight or candle.

When we accept Jesus into our heart and lives, we get another wonderful benefit — His Light! In today’s world that’s covered in darkness, the light of God that is freely given to us by His Grace and Mercy is a welcome sight.

Bible Verses in this Episode:

  • John 1:1-9
  • Isaiah 9:1-2
  • Matthew 5:13-16
  • Luke 11:33-36
  • Ephesians 5:1-14

You can receive this light right now by praying this simple prayer….

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
