11.29: First Sunday of Advent: A Faith in Jesus, the Reason for the Season

In the grocery store today, I was looking for some Nativity decals for my window. I went down both aisles of Christmas decorations and there was not one Nativity anything to be found! There were plenty of Santas, reindeer, snowmen, tinsel, all sorts of decorations, wrapping paper, etc. However, there wasn’t a single item depicting the reason for the season — the birth of Jesus Christ!

Having no kids, I stopped celebrating Christmas some time ago. I gave my little table-top tree away along with all the decorations I’d collected over the years. The only thing I have is a small manger scene. I’ll get a poinsettia and little rosemary tree-shaped plant and put a red bow on it. That’s it.

It’s not in the Bible. Who started this tradition?

Keep reading in my blog were there are links to dig deeper and a special Christmas music video at the bottom…

If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then…

Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.

Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly…

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Jesus is coming back soon! Are you ready?
