8.24: How to Mature as Christian Believer in Jesus Christ

I had the experience once of visiting a church for the first time and not a single person greeted me. I stood there alone with a cup of coffee after service and no one came up to me. Thank God that only happened to me once and not at any of the churches I ended up joining and spending years as a faithful member.

Today’s lesson in James chapter 2 covers two topics that are touchy subjects to say the least. Prejudice and good works. Nevertheless, if we’re going to become mature Christian believers, we need to study the Bible — even the chapters that we don’t particularly like or that might offend some people….
