Yesterday, I wrote the Truth about Mary, the Mother of Jesus — outlining Mary’s history from the prediction of the virgin birth of Jesus to the annunciation; later, the last mentions of Mary and Jesus’ brothers and sisters in the Gospels, Acts and Paul’s letters. The question now lies on how did we get from the Mother of Jesus to the Mother of God and her being lifted higher than the saints and worshiped alongside, if not above Jesus.
