World Watch 6.24.23: Prophetic, Last Days News Just Like Jesus Said

Birth pains. I’ve never had children, but I know what happens when a woman is about to give birth. The pains start — weak at first, then get stronger. Initially, they are far apart, then they come more frequent. As they increase in frequency, they increase in severity. Friend, we are going through the the birth pains of the last days.

Jesus clearly warned us about these times in His Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. He said, “But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.” Undoubtedly, we are witnessing the CONVERGENCE of numerous events — all prophesied in the Bible happening all at once! Unfortunately, things are going to get worse before Jesus comes for His born-again believers in the Rapture.

Here’s this week’s wrap-up…

Last Days Bible Prophecies
Coming True Right Now!

Wars & Threats of Wars

Ukraine / Russia

Breaking News from Russia – Power Struggles & Instability within Russia – see Amir Tsarfati’s posts on Telegram

  • The Chonhar bridge, one of a few bridges connecting Crimea to mainland Ukraine, was hit at 5:50 am Thursday. IF you look closely at the video above, you’ll see it has French markings. It’s known as the “Gate to Crimea”.
  • Latvia transferred its entire fleet of helicopters to Ukraine
  • Flood death toll: 29 on the Russian side, 16 in Ukraine territory. We’ll get into the Food Crisis the flood is causing in the Pestilence and Famine section.

Elsewhere Around the World…

  • China is planning a new training facility in Cuba, Raising the prospect of troops on America’s doorstep.
  • Bloody Confrontation in Germany: Escalating Conflict Between Syrian and Lebanese Families Leaves a Trail of Injuries and Violence
  • BRICS Summit Scheduled in South Africa—the Putin Dilemma
    • BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, and is an economic / geopolitical bloc that works together to encourage policies and relations designed to improve the economies of the member nations.
    • The group stands in contrast to the G7, and is deliberate in its efforts to shift global economic power away from Western nations.
    • This year’s BRICS summit is scheduled to be held in South Africa August 22-24. South Africa currently has ties to Russia and has long insisted it is neutral with regard to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
    • But South Africa is also a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has a warrant out for Putin’s arrest for war crimes. This means that if Putin visits South Africa for the BRICS summit, South Africa is obligated to arrest Putin.
    • A deputy minister in South Africa has said the country is planning to change its laws to circumvent this obligation, and that it will extend special immunity to all officials who attend the summit.
    • China has offered to help increase security in South Africa to prevent any possibility of Putin’s arrest. There are also talks of moving the summit to China or India, who are not members of the ICC, in order to protect Putin. Foreshadows

Israel & the Middle East

  • The Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Navy: “From today every ship and every boat that wants to pass through the Strait of Hormuz will have to introduce themselves in Persian and tell us their nationality, cargo and destination. If they don’t do it we will get to them.”
  • US Air Force: Russia’s blatant aggression against US forces in Syria’s airspace could lead to a similar action against Israel, which is certainly a source of concern for the Pentagon.
  • Intel announced the plan to build a third plant in Israel for their chips in a $25B mega-investment. This is a big blow to the liberal progressive left’s propaganda that the judicial reform will keep investors away and that Intel would even decide to close its existing plants in the country. The Israeli economy is growing the currency is strong and international investors are pouring in despite the sabotage of the lunacy of the left! Amir

I pray for the innocent people who are suffering, caught up in the midst of the conflicts. Guard them and provide for their needs, health, and safety. Strengthen & guide those who are fleeing the violence. Give them wisdom & peace.

I pray for the power-hungry bullies, may they all know Jesus as the true Prince of Peace.

Increased Evil , Satanic Lawlessness, Terrorism, Sexual Immorality, Apostasy, False Teachings, Corruption, and Deception in the Last Days

Jesus warned us…

“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.”

Alphabet Soup Key

Here’s a key to the global organizations that you hear about in the news…

  • IMF: International Monetary Fund
  • WHO: World Health Organization
  • WEF: World Economic Forum
  • BRICS: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, among other countries

Progress Toward a Global Central Bank Digital Currency

June 19, while in Morocco, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, said that the IMF is “working hard on the concept of a global CBDC platform.” That is, a global digital currency. She said that “if we are to be successful, CBDCs could not be fragmented national propositions…we need systems that connect countries…we need interoperability.”
Critics responded by saying that a global digital currency—controlled by global central banks—would enable world governments to exercise complete control over people’s access to their money. It would be all too easy for governments to tie a global currency to a social credit system that rewards or punishes people worldwide—and opens or closes their digital wallets—based on their views and actions. Jesus said regarding the Last Days…

“But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”

“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.”

Matthew 24:8-9 NLT

Increased Christian Persecution

  • Somalia – Middle East Concern: Please pray for the targeting of Christians by militant groups to cease, and for changes across society seeing an end to the persecution of believers in communities and families. Please pray for the safety of believers and for the Body of Christ to strengthen and flourish despite the existing obstacles.
  • U.S.: Greg Laurie’s “Harvest Crusade Outreach” got bumped from Angel Stadium because they didn’t want the grass ruined by people trampling it to receive Christ.
  • Laos: Back in January 2023, a group of Christians in Laos were arrested for celebrating Christmas. Our Open Doors partner there shares that “prisons get overcrowded, and food is scarce.” Pray for comfort, peace and strength, and for the release of these believers.
  • Laos: “I want you to stop being a Christian, if you still want to continue to work at this hospital, and if not, you will leave your job.” These are the words of a supervisor to a Christian nursing assistant in Laos. Please pray for this brother as he remains resolute in his faith.
  • Indonesia: Unfortunately, Nara was shunned for her faith by her daughters and her neighbors. Pray for reconciliation in these relationships. Pray that her daughters would also accept Christ. Ask that Nara remains steadfast and that her faith in Jesus will grow stronger.
  • Nigeria: In 2022, around 10,000 Christians were displaced from their homes in Nigeria. Earlier this year, at least 80 believers were left destitute after authorities in Abuja demolished their makeshift shelters without warning. Pray for the provision of safe havens for all displaced Christians in Nigeria.
  • New Report Outlines Cultural Genocide in Armenia
  • India: Hundreds of Houses of Worship Destroyed in Manipur province
  • Myanmar: Open Doors partners are running persecution survival training for Christians. “A believer testified that he had almost lost his faith because of the challenges, but the training helped him renew his faith,” says David*. Praise God for this and pray for the renewal of other believers who are struggling.
    • Almost 80 per cent of Christians forced from their homes or country last year because of their faith were from Myanmar (110,000). Many are forced to live in forests and jungles. Pray that each displaced Christian will experience God’s provision, presence and peace.
  • Rerfugees & IDPs (Internationally Displaced Persons): This is Refugee Week and this year’s theme is compassion. Last year, at least 140,000 Christians were displaced from their home or country for faith-related reasons. Pray that believers driven from their homes will encounter people who, like Jesus, are ‘moved with compassion’ for them (Matthew 20:34).
    • Editor’s note: I know what it means to be suddenly displaced. A few years ago, I was displaced by a fire in my apartment building. Even though my things weren’t damaged, I was rendered homeless. It’s an uneasy feeling. I thank God that I had a church family who came to my rescue, took me in and helped me move to a new apartment.
    • Imagine now, being displaced because your whole village or home was burnt down in war and conflict in your country. Or perhaps it’s because you believe in Jesus Christ. Pray for these people.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out…
Because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out…
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out…
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out…
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The Gospel Around the World
in the Last Days!

Jesus said…

“For the Good News must first be preached to all nations (peoples).”

Mark 13:10

Obviously, there is bad news all over the world. Nevertheless, there is also great news — signs of hope — that born-again Christians are doing what Jesus told us to do in the Great Commission and before He left us.

  • Salwa*, a persecuted Christian in Egypt, finds healing in Christ
  • Iran: A ‘Great Awakening’ is reportedly exploding in Iran: ‘Visions, Dreams, and miraculously answered prayers” are taking place.
  • Middle East: Praise God for transformed lives in Iran. One young man, previously an antagonistic drug addict with no time for the gospel is now a keen follower of Jesus. He and his wife now oversee a network of house churches with over 80 members, all of whom are recent converts.
  • China: Pray that the distribution of children’s bible teaching videos will continue to be blessing to the church in China. Parents and pastors speak of the challenges they experience keeping their kids from the worldly influences of video games, communist party indoctrination and even Buddhism.
  • Myanmar: AsiaLink partners in Myanmar are committed to providing sound evangelical books to pastors and lay people. Praise God, they are on target to provide three books per quarter to native missionaries and pastors. Please pray that these resources will bless the workers and enrich their ministry.
  • Vietnam: Please pray for a church located in the Mekong delta in southern Vietnam. Although they have a church building, some of the Christians are unable to attend due to the very remote district. Pray that the development of cell groups will enable isolated members to receive regular fellowship.
  • China: Lift up the Open Doors partners who continue to work in mainland China. Thank God for their service and pray that their work will help to build the Kingdom of God in that region.

We Are Living in the Last Days!

Yes, things do look hopeless and grim down here on earth. What can we do? We can pray and draw closer to Jesus through His Word, His Salvation and His Hope…

Pray for courage like the first believers did after Peter and John were released…

Paul wrote…

So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NLT

Stand Strong in Jesus Christ in the Last Days…

Are YOU well rooted in the Word?

Lord, please come soon to fulfill your salvation, and grant us patience as we wait to see it. Amen.

Are YOU Secure in YOUR Salvation
Through Jesus Christ?

If you’re not sure if you’re saved or not, if you truly want to be born again and have the assurance of salvation, receive the Holy Spirit, feel His Shalom — a peace that surpasses all understanding, and get a 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven after you die, or that you won’t be left behind at the Rapture, which can happen at any moment, this is what you have to do…

Invite Jesus into Your Heart and Receive the Gift of Grace and the Confident Hope of Eternal Life…
