Do you trust God? It’s not easy to surrender EVERYTHING in your life to Him. Here in Psalm 25, King David gives us a beautiful poem that we can pray back to God and at the same time, assure ourselves that if we trust in Him, He’s got our back. Let’s dig in…
Psalm 25
A psalm of David.
1 O Lord, I give my life to you.
2 I trust in you, my God!
Do not let me be disgraced,
or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.
3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.4 Show me the right path, O Lord;
point out the road for me to follow.
5 Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
6 Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
7 Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord.8 The Lord is good and does what is right;
he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
9 He leads the humble in doing right,
teaching them his way.
10 The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness
all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.11 For the honor of your name, O Lord,
forgive my many, many sins.
12 Who are those who fear the Lord?
He will show them the path they should choose.
13 They will live in prosperity,
and their children will inherit the land.
14 The Lord is a friend to those who fear him.
He teaches them his covenant.
15 My eyes are always on the Lord,
for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies.16 Turn to me and have mercy,
for I am alone and in deep distress.
17 My problems go from bad to worse.
Oh, save me from them all!
18 Feel my pain and see my trouble.
Forgive all my sins.
19 See how many enemies I have
and how viciously they hate me!
20 Protect me! Rescue my life from them!
Do not let me be disgraced, for in you I take refuge.
21 May integrity and honesty protect me,
for I put my hope in you.22 O God, ransom Israel

How to Pray Psalm 25 & Proclaim Your Trust in God
Let’s go through this psalm and see how we can pray it back to God.
Lord Jesus, I give my life to you. I trust in you, my God!
Because I trust in you, I will never be disgraced because disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.Show me the right path, dear Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope and trust in you. Thank you for showing me your compassion and unfailing love as you have in ages past. Thank you for forgetting the sins of my past life. Thank you for your forgiveness and the light of your unfailing love and mercy.
You are good and always do what is right. You show the proper path to those who go astray. You lead the humble in doing right teaching us your way. You lead with unfailing love and show faithfulness to everyone who obeys your commands.
Forgive all my sins, Lord, and I will live in your glory. Count me among those who fear you. Show me the path I should choose to live in prosperity, for you will provide my every need. Thank you for being my friend. My eyes are always on YOU, Lord, because you rescued me from the traps of my sins.
Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! You felt my pain and have seen my troubles and you forgave all my sins.
Satan, the enemy of all Christians, hates me. Protect me! Rescue me from him! Do not let me be disgraced, for in you I take refuge. May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.
O God, ransom Israel from all its troubles. It is in your glorious name, I pray, Amen.

Do YOU Trust Jesus Completely?

First, understand that you cannot put your trust in ANYTHING of this world. Likewise, any religion — including Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy — any human, like a priest, pope, or even any extra-biblical doctrine written by men wanting power and money. If it’s not in the Bible, it’s false teaching — and we were warned about false doctrines that would come from evil sources.
John wrote…
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
1 John 2:15-17 NLT
Jesus told us…
33 “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NLT
Have you surrendered your life to Jesus?
If you’re not sure if you’re saved or not, if you truly want to be born again and have the assurance of salvation, receive the Holy Spirit, feel His Shalom — a peace that surpasses all understanding, and get a 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven after you die, or that you won’t be left behind at the Rapture, which can happen at any moment, this is what you have to do…
Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.
- Believe — have Faith — that Jesus is the Christ and He died taking your sins away forever and that He rose from the dead 3 days later.
- Repent of your sins — stop sinning! Do a complete 180-degree turn in your life and surrender your life to Him. When you ask Jesus to forgive you He will. ALL your sins will be wiped clean — past, present, and future! And All means ALL!
- Be Baptized by water baptism — show the world and yourself that you have died to your old life and are born again in Christ.
- Receive the gift of Holy Spirit in your heart.
