If you’ve been with me through the study on the Book of Acts, you may have noticed that more than half of it is about Paul. Since Luke wrote it, he focused more on Paul because he joined Paul in some of his missionary journeys. You’ll notice that as the narrative changes from “they” and “them” to “us” and “we”. You can’t get more of an eyewitness report than that!
Paul wrote 13 of the letters that comprise the New Testament. The question is, when did he write which ones? Romans is next in line after Acts, but that wasn’t the first letter written. As it turns out, the letters appear in the Bible from the longest to the shortest! Starting with Romans and ending with Philemon.
However, it’s actually recommended, if you REALLY want to understand Paul and what he was telling the early churches, you should read his letters in chronological order. After a little digging, I uncovered which letters were written when and I’ve done studies on all of them. Here are Paul’s letters in the order they were written….
Jesus said, “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” ~ Revelation 3:22 NLT – this is repeated 14 times in scripture. Kind of gives the idea that God wants us to pay attention.
If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then…
Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.
Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly…
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Jesus is coming back soon! Are you ready?
