so many gods...paganism and Idolatry in the Roman Catholic Church

So many gods

In doing research for my novel, Deo Volente! (God Willing): Love in the First Century (Amazon Link), I had to study Roman Mythology. The Romans stole the gods from the Greeks. The objective of having so many gods was to explain natural phenomena.

There was a god for everything and a festival for every god.

What do you worship? Is it an idol or Jesus, the One True God? Listen!

Bible Verses in today’s episode (all in the New Living Translation):

  • Psalms 115:4-7
  • Isaiah 44:9-11, 20
  • Exodus 20: 4-6
  • Isaiah 2:8-11
  • Revelation 2:11: “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. Whoever is victorious will not be harmed by the second death.”
